What we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.

01Who we are

This website is operated by EGCO — The Egyptian Co. for Modern Architecture, 14 Roushdy St., Safir Square, Heliopolis, Cairo, Egypt. EGCO is responsible for the personal data described in this notice, which we handle in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

02What we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to send us, plus the minimum needed to run the site safely:

  • Enquiry form: your name, company, email, phone number, project type and message, and the language you wrote in.
  • The IP address the enquiry was sent from, kept with the message to protect the form against spam and abuse.
  • Anonymous page counts (which page was opened, and on which day) — no cookies, no IP addresses and nothing that identifies you.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how the site is used (see “Cookies”).

03How we use it

We use your data only to:

  • reply to your enquiry and discuss your project;
  • keep a record of the conversation as part of our normal business records;
  • keep the website secure and understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful.

04Who we share it with

We never sell your data or use it for advertising. It is only processed by the companies that run the site for us — our hosting provider and the email service that delivers enquiry notifications — and by Google, if you accept analytics cookies. We may disclose data where Egyptian law requires it.

05How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your request and as part of our business records, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

06Cookies

The site works without any tracking. It uses:

  • Essential cookies: one remembers your language (egco_lang), another remembers your cookie choice (egco_consent). Both last up to a year.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — only if you choose “Accept”. You can change your choice at any time.

07Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time. We will answer within 30 days.
